DAY 01

Arrival at Indira Gandhi International airport; meet and greet by our driver/guide at the arrival lounge.
Limousine transfer to your hotel and check-in.

Delhi - the capital of India, is a fascinating city with complexities and contradictions, beauty and dynamism, where the past co-exists with the present. Many dynasties ruled from here and the city’s rich in the architecture of its monuments. Delhi is not only the present metropolis of India but also a Necropolis. Because of its location, being on the banks of the River Yamuna, many cities have risen and fallen over the last five millenniums.

DAY 02

After breakfast sightseeing of Old & New Delhi.
Visit some of the interesting sites of Delhi such as, Qutub Minar, Humanyun’s Tomb, Drive past the President’s House, India Gate, and Red Fort. Later also visit Jamma Masjid & enjoy a Rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk, visit Raj Ghat - cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Nation, Lotus Temple, Lakshmi Narayan Temple.

DAY 03

Agra is famous as the home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World – the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendor of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces in Agra is a vivid reminder of the opulence of the legendary Mughal Empire. Agra was their capital for nearly a hundred years from 1564. A pleasant town, with a comparatively easy pace, Agra is known for its superb inlay work on marble and soapstone by artisans who are hereditary craft persons. The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes.

Later visit Agra city, visits include the Taj Mahal – the inimitable poem in white marble. Built over a period of 22 years, by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630, for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains, it is one of the seven modern wonders of the World. [The Taj is closed on every Friday].

Visit Itmad – Ud – Daula Tomb & Agra Fort built by three Mughal Emperors starting from Akbar the Great in 1565 AD, which is a masterpiece of design and construction. Within the fort are a number of exquisite buildings including the Moti Masjid, Jahangir’s Palace, Khaas Mahal and the Sheesh Mahal, Diwane-i-Am, Diwane-i-Khas and Musamman Burj, where Emperor Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal Emperor died a prisoner.

directions AGRA - JAIPUR - via FATEHPUR SIKRI (245 km/ 5 ½ hrs)

DAY 04

After breakfast at hotel drive to Jaipur, en route visit of Fatehpur Sikri – this exquisite city built by Akbar the Great in 1569, in red sandstone, with its forts, palaces and mosques was abandoned 14 years after its creation due to political reasons. The Diwane-i-Am – a vast courtyard in which the emperor gave daily public audience; Diwane-i-Khas – a large quadrangle which contained all the major functions of the Palace, Pachisi court, the Emperors private living quarter, Jodha Bhai’s Palace, Mariam’s Palace, Birbal’s Palace, Hawa Mahal and Panch Mahal are some of the important buildings of this residential complex. The Friday Mosque and the exquisite Tomb of Sheik Salim Chisti are in the religious grounds set aside in a separate enclosure adjacent to the secular buildings.

This Pink City of fairy tale palaces, rugged fortresses perched on barren hills and broad avenues are picturesque. The first planned city of its time, a formidable wall encircles Jaipur.

DAY 05

After breakfast you will proceed for the excursion to Amber Fort, here you will enjoy the Elephant Ride to reach atop of the palace. Continue your tour: with the city tour of Jaipur- visiting Maharaja’s City Palace, the former Royal residence, part of it converted into a museum. Later visit the Jantar Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world, having 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition. During the tour you will also have a brief photography stop at Hawa Mahal - the Palace of Winds. Also visit Albert Hall.

Morning breakfast at Hotel. Later check-out and drive to Delhi. On arrival check in at your hotel.

directions DELHI - BANGALORE (by plane) - MYSORE (140 kms/ 3 hrs)

DAY 07

After breakfast, transfers to the airport to board the flight for Bangalore. On arrival at Bangalore airport, pick up and transfer to Mysore – en-route visit Tipu Sultans Summer Palace at Srirangapatnam. Upon arrival in Mysore, check into your hotel. Later visit Brindavan Gardens in the evening-the musical fountains and colorful lights turn this place into an enchanting fairyland.

DAY 08

After breakfast, proceed for a city tour of Mysore. Mysore, the old capital town, has the magnificent Maharajas Palace, Chamundi Hill and the Art Gallery, with a fine collection of paintings & musical instruments. Also visit the Big Bull. Rest of the time is kept free for own activities.

DAY 09

After breakfast, drive to Ooty- the Queen of Hill stations nestled in the Nilgiri range. A Britisher Mr. John Sullivan discovered Ooty in 1821, the sheer grandeur of this romantic city is enough to drain you out. Afternoon arrive at hotel and rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 10

After breakfast, proceed for a city tour of Ooty. Visit the Doddabeta Peak which is the highest peak of Tamil Nadu. From here, you get panoramic view of the neighboring regions. Afternoon visit the famous Botanical Garden built in 1847 and the Ooty Lake where boating facility is available. Horse-back riding around the lake also is available. Ooty is all about majestic waterfalls, lush green tree forests, endless tea gardens and manicured golf courses.
